In a world striving to overcome environmental challenges, The Wee Plant Joy Project stands as a beacon of hope, fostering connections between humanity and nature while creating meaningful change. Founded by Cody Wasial, this initiative is redefining conservation by combining targeted projects, community engagement, and education to leave a lasting impact on our planet.
A Mission Rooted in Passion
Driven by a lifelong dedication to animals and the environment, Cody Wasial founded Wee Plant Joy with a vision to support global causes that focus on education, preservation, and conservation. By addressing specific goals with clear timelines, Wee Plant Joy provides vital boosts to communities and organizations, empowering them to achieve tangible results.
“Our mission is to help our lands, animals, and oceans through initiatives that educate and preserve while inspiring others to take action,” Cody explains. Each project embodies her commitment to creating a sustainable and joyful future for generations to come.
Operation ReUnite: Harry and Sally
The journey of Wee Plant Joy began with a story of resilience and connection. On a trip to South Africa, Cody visited Knysna Elephant Park (KEP), where she learned about Harry and Sally, two elephants rescued in 1994. Over time, their herd was separated due to a devastating drought.
A meditation sparked Cody’s intuition to act, leading to Operation ReUnite Harry and Sally. The mission successfully brought the herd back together on KEP land, overcoming obstacles and symbolizing the project’s spirit of connection and possibility.
New Campaign: Wells for Namibia
Wee Plant Joy’s current campaign focuses on bringing water to a small community in Namibia. With a goal to drill three wells and secure a larger water truck, the project aims to alleviate the strain caused by drought and provide resources for fighting fires.
This initiative not only addresses immediate needs but also strengthens the community’s resilience against future challenges, embodying the project’s mission to make a lasting impact.
You can support this life-changing effort through the Bonfire Namibia apparel campaign or donate directly via the Wells for Namibia donation link.
Eco-Tours: Coming Soon in 2025
Wee Plant Joy connects conservation with community engagement through its eco-tours, which allow participants to experience firsthand the beauty of the areas they help protect. While the October 2025 tour to South Africa has been postponed, new dates are being planned.
