Roberto Corona’s musical journey that turns pain into light and reconnects with the inner child

On the cover of Roberto Corona’s new album, an illustration shows him gazing into a mirror—only to see his inner child reflected back: Robertito. The child smiles at him with tenderness, as if finally feeling seen and embraced. It’s a warm moment of reunion—the adult meeting the child he once was, so they can heal together. That instant of connection, of deep emotional repair, marks the beginning of Alquimista de un Corazón Herido (Alchemist of a Wounded Heart), a musical journey that turns pain into light.
“This album was born from silence. From those moments when you can’t go on, and you finally surrender. When tears become melody, and the soul finds words for what it had long kept quiet.”
The pain hiding behind a smile
For the past 12 years, Roberto has traveled to over 100 countries, collecting smiles around the world—with a Nikon camera over his shoulder and a little rag doll in his hand: the beloved RobiSmiles, symbol of love and happiness, and an invitation to reconnect with your inner child. Together, they have photographed joy across all 7 continents. But behind that radiant mission, there was an emptiness that needed attention. “There were moments when I felt sadness too, but I wore the mask of the ‘ambassador of happiness.’ Until I understood that embracing all of my emotions was also part of the path.”
Inspired by his own story and by those he loves, he began to study the five core childhood wounds: rejection, abandonment, humiliation, betrayal, and injustice. For each one, he wrote two songs: one that expresses the pain, and another that reflects the journey of transformation.

A musical journal written between flights and farewells
The songs emerged during moments of deep vulnerability—often between goodbyes, long silences, and unexpected news. Some were born in airports, others while on the road. For example, Todo va a estar bien (Everything Will Be Okay) was written in Spain after Roberto received news of his mother’s heart attack. Suelto el control (I Let Go of Control) came to life while waiting for a return flight, in a moment of surrender—when he realized nothing was in his hands anymore. And Aquí Estoy (I Am Here) was born at home, as a message of presence and unconditional love dedicated to his niece, Giselle.
“I cried many times listening to the finished songs. It was a healing kind of cry. I felt lighter. As if each song peeled off a layer of pain I had never been able to release before.”
The invisible power of sound
Each track in the album is composed using a different Solfeggio frequency, intentionally aligned with the specific emotion it seeks to heal. It’s recommended to listen with headphones, in a quiet space, to fully experience its therapeutic effect. Inspired by his previous work with Dr. Jeffrey Thompson—pioneer in neuroacoustics and creator of therapeutic music based on brainwave frequencies—Roberto masterfully blends melody, neuroscience, and spirituality.
417 Hz in Ecos del Pasado (Echoes of the Past), to release past traumas.
396 Hz in Aquí Estoy (I Am Here), to dissolve feelings of guilt.
963 Hz in Suelto el Control (I Let Go of Control), to activate the pineal gland and spiritual connection.
528 Hz in No Era Justo (It Wasn’t Fair), the frequency of love and restoration.
Each choice is intentional—part of an emotional architecture designed so that the listener goes through a real process of transformation.
“Listening to the full album feels like stepping through a portal. By the end, you should feel renewed—like something within you has finally been held with love.”
Songs that become mantras
In emotional healing, mantras act as anchors of awareness—phrases we can repeat to reconnect with our center. Several song titles in this album already echo as powerful affirmations, reminding us that healing is possible.
No tengo que demostrar nada (I Don’t Have to Prove Anything) — a declaration of inner freedom.
Confío en mi voz (I Trust My Voice) — reclaiming the right to express oneself without fear.
Soy luz que nace en mí (I Am Light Born Within Me) — the closing track, an affirmation of rebirth.
“The inner child is still there. Often forgotten, but to heal it, we must return to wonder—play again, laugh at the simple things.”
The legacy of vulnerability
This album is more than music: it’s an act of emotional courage. Each track is an overdue conversation with oneself—a declaration of self-love. Roberto sees it as a threshold of healing. A doorway to create from the soul and serve those who need to believe again.
People have already written to him, saying that a single song made them cry—that, finally, someone had put into words what they hadn’t been able to express.
“If a song from this album touches you, dedicate it to someone. Send the album to someone you love. If it helped you, imagine how much more it can do if it’s shared.”
If he could speak to his inner child...
If he could speak to his inner child, he would simply say:
“Everything will be okay.”
